ADOPT. DON’T SHOP.

Love doesn’t need
a pedigree.

GodsAngels champions Indie adoption. Our local dogs deserve to be chosen, welcomed and loved as family.

01

Choose the dog, not a label

Indies are individuals, with different personalities, histories and care needs. Get to know the dog and look for a good match.

02

Give an existing life a home

Adoption offers a family to an animal already waiting in foster or rescue care.

03

Make a lifelong commitment

Every dog needs time, companionship, veterinary care and a safe home. Being an Indie does not mean needing less care.

THE COST BEHIND THE SALE

A puppy for sale.
A mother you may never see.

In puppy mills, dogs can be treated as a source of puppies rather than as animals with needs of their own. Welfare organisations document cramped confinement, repeated breeding, poor sanitation and inadequate veterinary care.

Lives spent confined

Breeding dogs may live in cramped cages with little exercise, human contact or opportunity for normal behaviour.

Care sacrificed for profit

Overbreeding, dirty conditions and inadequate veterinary care put mothers and puppies at risk of suffering.

Harm beyond the sale

Early separation, stress and poor conditions can contribute to lasting health and behavioural problems in puppies.

These are documented harms of puppy mills and cruel breeding practices, not a claim that every breeder operates identically. Our choice is clear: encourage adoption rather than create demand for puppies bred for sale.

Sources: Humane World for Animals: puppy mills · ASPCA: how cruel breeding hurts dogs. These organisations describe puppy-mill welfare harms; their reports are not local GodsAngels investigations.

Choose kindness at the start.

Meet rescue animals, ask about their needs and choose a companion you can care for long term. If adoption is not possible now, fostering or supporting care can help too. Every dog deserves compassion, including dogs rescued from breeding facilities.
